First glimpse...
On April 1st of this year we received this pic over email of our little Misgana. This was the first picture we saw of her and we studied every detail and wondered who was behind these little eyes...
Now it is has been almost six months since receiving this picture and almost two months home... here she is...
The miracle of love, family, and change is beautiful.

What is your name?
A name is powerful.
Here she is telling you her name with her new middle (Marie) and last name (Deur). (For those who are out of the Ethiopian adoption loop - people in Ethiopia use their father's name as a second name.)
Misgana means "thankful" and we are thankful for the opportunity to be in her life. :)

Misgana dancing... meets the wall.
Misgana loves to walk around in the bath robe and do little dances. This time she gets a little love from the house.
Gotta love her laugh. Enjoy.

Beach time.
We got to the beach at least one more time before the fall comes and slams the door on such experiences. Misgana is gaining in confidence and is much more vocal with us. We are amazed at the progress she is making as we reflect on when we first met her. Thanks be to God. Thanks for all the prayers - we still need them - BIG TIME. :)

The braiding queen.
I think Harrison is rethinking his decision to grow his hair out a bit. Misgana gets a hold of it and makes it pretty. Harrison is a good sport, but thinks it's painful! :)
