Poll - Language

Thanks to those who took the little poll/quiz. The correct answer was Amharic as the official language of Ethiopia.

I (Steve) have never been good at learning other languages. I think I scored a D- in Espanol. I like Mexican food, but never did well with learning the language.

I took Greek in school to study the New Testament and was doing okay and getting it until I lost focus because I starting dating a girl from school who became my wife - the Greek went down hill and our relationship went uphill.

So now - we are interested in learning some Amharic so we might be able to communicate a bit with folks while we are in Ethiopia and potentially to sooth and offer some communication to our child (the age could be quite young, but it is still an unknown.)

We think learning a language is essential to really learning a culture so we're looking for little ways to learn...
