heading home

Today is our last day... We are laying low and getting stuff organized.

Misgana is doing well, but she is very very very shy, but trusts Vicki.

I think I just look like a big hairy monster. :) But she does enjoy
watching Sesame Street with me.

Tonight we leave at 10:15 pm (allegedly) and so we will be home (again
allegedly) at 7:45 pm from Chicago Sunday night to Grand Rapids.

Time to go!

Thanks again!

Pray for safe travels, sleep and trust for Misgana, and good bonding.

Can't WAIT to see pictures! I've been praying for your family and Misgana this week--I'm sure she is just OVERWHELMED! We had fun meeting your kids this week while they were at the cabin--that was a treat! :)

Safe Travels,

Lori Beck

I am sure you have done a lot of reading on helping Misgana in the attachment and bonding phase. If you haven't read them yet, the best two I have read so far are...

Raising Your Internationally Adopted Child (This is the my number one book on my list; I think all adoptive parents should read this one. It talks about that specifically, a child being quiet, using sleep to escape, etc.)

The Connected Child (a quicker read, but not as good in my opinion)

I am continuing to pray for you.
