We are in Dayton, OH waiting to board a plane to Chicago and then hope to be on United 7435 to Grand Rapids. We are supposed to come in around 7:45 pm.
The trip has gone smoothly because Misgana has slept almost the entire time. Sleep is a major coping device, but it makes travel easier.
Please pray for her and us. She has been quiet and not feeling like eating and we are trying to have wisdom on how to respond.
Thanks for following the journey.
Notoriously late update

5 chit chats:
Here are the foods Levi, and it sounds like a few other Ethiopian children, would eat.
spaghetti
eggs (scrambled or boiled)
mac and cheese
apple sauce
bread (no nuts or raisins)
That was about it for a while. It seemed like he stuck with mostly tasteless food until he got more couragous and settled.
She is beautiful!
Dont push the food issue...she will eat when she is ready :) We have had several friends who have adopted children who have done the same thing. THey have just offered them the food, let them choose to eat or not, and then made it available to them again if and when they ask.
What a beautiful little girl and such a sweet picture! Welcome HOme!
Hi guys,
we were getting ready to head to the airport when our power went out !!!!
So we decided to stay put.
We just got it back on (9:30 PM) and hope you arrived safely
So sorry to miss your homecoming....Grace was very excited about the whole idea.
we hope all went well
Love,
Jen & Pete
She is beautiful! Welcome home! I agree about the food. Just let her eat what she likes. Offer her all different things but let her eat her comfort foods.
